Reinvented in SS11, the lace dress is no longer conservative but sexy and on trend. It seems like the fashion world (and us girls!) can’t get enough of it, because in 2014 lace still is everywhere. This Oasis number brings together blue lace with a pleated skirt and simply makes me feel a million bucks.

I’ve collaborated with Oasis previously and each time it surprises me how they achieve high end quality for high street prices. I’ve never had so many comments on my outfit when I wore their pieces, not to mention that I  feel fantastic wearing them. See for example this killer jumpsuit that I wore last year in Bangkok and this sophisticated high neck dress in black. The dress also comes in a powder pink version and when I first saw it, I thought it would make such a good bridesmaid dress.

When looking at these pictures, you might think that the location was pre-planned, but it was actually a very spontaneous and lucky find when Hassan and I were having a walk in order to find a good spot to shoot this dress. I’m a bit of a control freak, so I usually prefer to have a place in mind to shoot, but I now see that it’s also good to just go with the flow. I’m a firm believer that the best things happen when you’re not looking for them, so maybe I should also implement this philosophy in my everyday life a little more?
