Leather sleeves
The eyecatcher in these pictures is obviously my new leather sleeve coat, don't you love it? I'm so happy with it, it's really a classic piece. (And another bargain, hehe). Wore this sunday when we went to Fremantle (a town nearby Perth) where we walked at the boulevard, strolled around in a market and had a lovely lunch. I had sushi, the boyfriend fish and chips. The best part of the day: we found out that the whale watching season has begun. So, yesterday we booked ourselves a boat trip to go whale watching next sunday, how exciting is that!

Some days...
Saturday was one of these days that making decent outfit pictures seemed an impossible job. Whether it was caused by the lack of good light or the fact that I felt very sleepy, I've definitely had better outfit pictures than this, haha. Anyway, still wanted to show you the whole outfit! Since I've discovered the existence of outlet shoppingcentres here in Australia, I've really turned into a bargain hunter. Last week for example, I found this beautiful jacket for $10, pretty good deal if you ask me. Started today with a big walk trough Kingspark on my own. Thought I had a pretty good sense of direction, but I got lost. Very lost. So finally I walked about an hour more than I actually planned, but at least I've had a good exercise which is the perfect excuse to eat lots of unhealthy food today. Will show you yesterday's outfit pictures tomorrow, which - I promise- are a lot more spectecular than these.

Black and White
Just a little preview of my upcoming outfit post on the blog. We took these pictures yesterday when we were waiting to take the train to Harbourtown (shopping outletcentre). My boyfriend needed some new clothes so we took our time to find him some good stuff. Also bought a beautiful coat with leather sleeves myself. Spring is starting here, so I will probably not be able to use the coat a lot the coming months, but I really couldn't leave it behind. For dinner, we invited friends over to our place which was really fun. We had roasted chicken, grilled potatoes, and a salad. Oh, and not to mention a big dessert with icecream and cake, haha. I feel a little bit guiltly about the amount of food I ate yesterday, -and the past week, to be honest- so I will try to keep it healthy the coming days. Today we're planning to go to a little town at the seaside. The weather seems wonderful so I'm sure we'll have a great day.

Mint and Snakeskin
Here my outfit which I wore yesterday. These snakeskin shorts are definitely one of my favorite shorts at the moment, I love the print and their loose fit. Decided this time to combine the shorts with a mintgreen sweater and some neon accessories. See another recent outfit with the snakeskin shorts here. I just came back from a walk along the beach with my boyfriend and we bought some pizza's and wine at the supermarket. I guess we'll be spending a lazy evening at the couch watching some series.

Touch of neon
Does this neon yellow necklace seem familiar? Well, it definitely does to me. I've seen it passing by at so many different fashionblogs a while ago. I've always loved it, but unfortunately never managed to get my hands on it. Surprisingly enough, I ran into this neon beauty while strolling around with a friend in a shoppingcentre yesterday. So happy I found it! Also bought a coral/gold necklace. My accessories collection really needed some more colour, so here you go: mission accomplished I say.
So let me tell you about my day. I started my day very sporty by making a big walk through Kingspark with a friend, we've been walking for at least 1.5 hour. Yep, I feel proud. When my boyfriend came back from work we took some outfit pictures (tomorrow on the blog!) and we went to our favorite burger restaurant. The burgers here in Australia are really like nowhere else, soo tasty! Afterwards we went to eat waffles and icecream -again- (We were there yesterday as well, haha). So finally, everything taken into consideration, my day was not that sporty at all.

In Perth city
Spending time in the city centre of Perth is one the things I really love about living here. The super high buildings, shoppingstreets and the ambiance are simply awesome. Last sunday we went to town mainly to take outfit pictures, but we also went to a store to buy a couple of things for the house because it's still kinda empty in our place when it comes to accessories. As you can see I decided to change the look of my blog a little bit, so from now on with a big outfitpost you'll have to click to read more. At first I was not a big fan of this system at all, but now I see the advantages of it. It makes the blog look more organized, for instance. I had a little outfit crisis before taking these pictures, so after trying on a dress from Zara - yes, the shirt is actually a dress - I decided to pair it with a lace skirt and I think it looks pretty good.

Floaty dress
Pictures by H. Mounzer
Hope you're all having a great weekend! Mine is very laidback, just enjoying the great weather and my boyfriends company. So, here's the full outfit of last friday at the beach. I opted for a floaty dress and some flats which you cannot see in the picture because I took them off, haha. My white blazer is really indispensable in my wardrobe and I'm happy I bought it very last moment - 3 days before leaving to Australia- at Zara when I went with a friend for a shopping spree to Amsterdam. Yesterday at the beach was fun, I even went for a little swim and luckily the waves were not too high. I went to the beach a couple of weeks ago when the ocean was kinda wild and I seriously felt like I could be drowning anytime. After our day at the beach, we bought pizza's and sat down in the garden. Now we just came back from a big sunday morning breakfast at a place I really love called 'The Dome'. It's very American in my point of view. You can for example have a pancake stack with cream and blueberries (which my boyfriend ordered). I had a big fruit salad and a so called 'Danish pastry' with cream. Going to spend some time cleaning up the house, do some laundry and later in the afternoon we're planning to go to town.

Enjoying the sunset
Yesterday, after my boyfriend came back from work, we went to the beach to enjoy the sunset and take some photo's and this is one of them. It's always fun to take photo's during sunset, because the light is so extraordinary at that time. I will show you the whole outfit later, so stay tuned. After sunset, we went to a burger restaurant in our neighbourhood and we finished the day at home by watching some 'modern family' episodes. Gotta love these series! Now I'm going to start making myself ready for a day at the beach. The weather is great - spring is starting here - so I'm sure the beach will become our second home the coming weeks. Have a nice weekend guys!

Roadtrip Beauty

Here is a selection of pictures made during my roadtrip which I really love and I ofcourse wanted to share with you. This country has so many beautiful colours and landscapes that I'm sure you'll find nowhere else in the world. Although I'm here already two months, I'm still making photo's of everything I see non-stop. Beauty in general has always intrigued me, which also explains my love for nature besides fashion.
Hope you like the pictures.
What are you looking at?
1. While taking a short break of driving we took some pictures and they turned out amazing because of the beautiful colours.(Sunset was starting)
2. Posing at an empty road
3. Warning! Kangaroos crossing...
4. Kangaroo? no, guys, it's just me. Love the empty roads here, sometimes you can drive for hours and not see any other car passing. These empty roads give such a freedom feeling. Imagine us driving 140 km speed with superloud music and the windows wide open...
5. A picture made by the boyfriend, a dog fighting the waves.
6. Me, wavy hair and my favorite leather jacket.
7. Seagle conspiracy.
8. Love this picture. It looks so natural even though I'm posing ;).
9. Birds flying over us in Mandurah.
10. Supercute young bird that wasn't afraid of us at all.
11. I could even touch him!
12. Birdfight.
12. Birdfight.
13. Funny enough, after we left the bird at his spot, he followed us. Seems like he wants to ask: whatsup, are you not gonna give me any food?!

In love with turquoise
Pictures by H. Mounzer
Hi guys, how is your day going? Mine is great so far, woke up 7.30 AM this morning to go for some powerwalking with a friend. For the first time in my life I'm starting to do some kinda exercise and I even got proper running shoes. (I'm sure my friends in Holland will laugh and not believe me). We walked at least 8 km today, ofcourse with a long coffee break in between, hehe. Because the weather is always great here, I feel really encouraged and excited to start working out It's probably also good for my health because I have back ace very often. Can already feel the positive effects of execising: I just feel so much more energetic! Now I'm back home to do some blogging and show you yesterdays outfit. This pair of turquoise leopard shorts are still one of my favorites, I just love everything about it. Paired it with some black items and sky high heels from H&M which I didn't show you before. Tell me what you think about my outfit?
Ps. If you like my blog, please like my page at facebook by clicking here. On my facebook page you will find more updates than on the blog. Thank you in advance, it means a lot to me!

Walking down the streets...
First of all, thank you for the lovely response to my last post, it means a lot to me. So, as you can see I'm wearing my new skirt and neon top which I showed you a couple of days ago (see here) and I added a white (faux)leather jacket to make the look a bit tougher. The last days were a lot of fun. Monday I went to Harbour town (outlet shoppincentre) with a friend (yes, again) and we checked out the shops and had some lunch there. Saw this amazing burgundy coated jeans at the French Connection store and I guess I will wait a little to see if the price will go down more. Yesterday, I went with a friend to the beach to have a long walk along the coast, the weather was great - a little windy- and it felt so good to be a bit active. In the evening my boyfriend and I went for a sporty walk but we ended up having icecream and waffles in a place nearby our house, hehe. Now I'm off to clean up my wardrobe which is a big mess and I guess later I will go out for a walk again, because the weather is great with a lot of sunshine. Life is good!

My life: meet the boyfriend
I was thinking...why not tell and show you guys a little bit more of my personal life? I'm blogging for about 8 months now and because I got such great response to another recent personal post (see here) I felt encouraged to write more. Finally, blogging is easier and more fun when you can be your real self and show your readers what is actually going on in your life. You all know I moved to Perth, Australia last july to live with my boyfriend so I thought you might be interested in the story behind. In contradiction to what you might expect, I only met my boyfriend 1.5 years ago. The story started in march 2011, just after my 21st birthday. In fact, I went to Amsterdam that particular saturday to spend time with friends. After finding out that the club where we planned to go to was throwing a gay party, we ended up in a small - not very classy- bar and while in there just for minutes the guy who is now my boyfriend approached me, we started talking and that's how everything began. My boyfriend lived in France at the time and was making a short trip with a couple of friends to Amsterdam. The day after we met, we decided to meet up for some drinks, which was really nice, and the next day he went back to France. After his return we started talking non stop on skype, phone, sms and just two weeks later he came back to Holland to see me. Funny enough, a friend of him was living in Utrecht - the city where I was studying - so while he was staying there, we saw each other everyday for five days. Then the distance relationshop officially started and I was travelling to France every month for a couple of days. (I refused to travel to France the first time, because I thought it was his job as a man to come to me, in my country, the first time ;)). Anyway, months of distance relationship started and soon we started making future plans about where to live. My boyfriend was doing a PHD at the time, but he quit after we made serious plans to move abroad together. Just two months after the decision that we would move abroad together he found a job in Australia, so everything went really fast. Knowing that I would be moving to Australia, my family ofcourse wanted to meet my boyfriend so in december my boyfriend came to my place in Holland for three weeks to meet everyone and we had a great time. After visiting me in Holland my boyfriend went to Lebanon to spend some time with his family before moving to Australia and I went to see him and his family in Lebanon for 10 days in the beginning of february. Then the hardest part started: not seeing each other for 5 months. It was really awful, because we actually planned that I would come to Australia somewhere in these months but my schedule of university didn't allow it. Especially the last two months were extremely difficult because I was going through so much stress about my bachelor degree. Just imagine if I wouldn't pass? Then I wouldn't be able to move to Australia without coming back to finish my bachelor. All this pressure really drove me nuts, so ofcourse I was out of my mind when I heard I passed. Telling this story while living in Australia together with my boyfriend just 1.5 years after we met makes me realize how many unexpected turns life can take...
hope you all enjoyed me telling you this little story!
