Hello Perfection

Made you curious when I said my dream jacket arrived yesterday? Ofcourse I couldn't wait to show it off at the blog. Isn't it just perfect? A couple of weeks ago I was browsing through the H&M online shop and when I saw this leather jacket I completely freaked out. I've been looking for a new leather jacket for a long time, but I could never find the perfect one with beautiful details that I was looking for. Because items from H&M - especially when it's from the Trend department - are sometimes sold out in a second, I immediately ordered it to my adress in Holland and asked my mom to send it over to Australia.
I have to say I really start to miss H&M and Zara, especially when I see the beautiful new collection online. Why oh why is there no H&M or Zara in Perth?

Oh, happy day!

As the title already tells: I'm very happy today! Wake up this morning feeling the urge to clean the whole house, so that's exactly what I did. Then, I took my laptop to go to one of my favourite coffee places to do some blog related work, but unfortunately wifi didn't work properly. (Welcome to Australia, in general the internet sucks here), luckily we managed to have very fast internet at home. So, here comes the good news... when I went back home, I checked my mailbox as usual when I'm expecting a package. I found a note that my box from Holland arrived and ofcourse I rushed myself to the post office to collect it. Seriously, I went wild when I was finally home to open it up. My dream jacket is in there, so that explains a lot. Besides that, it consists of some other beautiful clothes which a Dutch webshop sent to me and I will show you very soon an outfit with. And... a game is in it which my boyfriend and me are addicted to. I don't know if it's something Dutch, but it's called 'rummikub' and I think it's a lot of fun. We played it a lot during winter and I was always winning, hehe. So, let the competitions begin. Besides that, we are planning a really fun trip this weekend and today I've been busy with figuring out what we are going to visit exactly and I can tell you it's a-ma-zing.

Snakeskin and the City

   Ph. H. Mounzer

Wore my snakeskin shorts for the first time when I went with my boyfriend to south Perth last sunday, bought them in Mango Sale a while ago. Really like the whole outfit; it's very me. For once, I didn't had a hard time choosing the pictures that were going to make it to the blog, because there were simply too many nice pictures. But hey, what do you expect with a view like this? I'm really in love with Perth's skyline, it looks a bit like New York if you ask me.
I planned to have a long morning walk in Kingspark to try out my new running shoes which I bought last  week, but I'm stuck in the house for the next couple of hours because my boyfriends new laptop will be delivered between 9 and 1. Guess I will go later in the afternoon and for now I will work on some blog posts and clean the house.

The flying floral

  Ph. H. Mounzer

Saturday's outfit at the beach wearing a fun colourful top and grey shorts. Usually I'm not a big fan of very colourful prints and chunky earrings, but sometimes it's good to change your outfits a little bit, right? Had a great weekend again. Even though we only went for a couple of drinks saturday evening, we ended up clubbing till late and we spend a really fun time with friends. Thanks to my new discovery of drinking cranberry/vodka, I started the sunday hangover free and we went to town where we took the ferry to south Perth and spend a lovely afternoon with drinking coffee and having a walk. Lessons of  monday morning: don't toast bread while not paying attention: fire alarm + smokey house. Don't put laundry to dry in the garden when it's cloudy: wet laundry. Wish you a great start of the week!

A big kiss for you

Just a quick a hello at saturday evening. I spend all day at the beach with my boyfriend enjoying the sun and chilling out. We took a lot of fun pictures, including some outfitshots, so you will see them on the blog soon. After spending a whole day at the beach I'm always craving for junkfood, so after a quick shower we headed to KFC to fulfil our needs, haha. Now we're back home and we'll meet up with some friends later in a bar. Fun day! Oh, by the way, what do you think of my new bikini? Fun print, isn't it. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Soft Strappy Leather

One of the fun things of moving abroad is discovering the fashion hotspots of your new city. Thanks to a friend who told me about this place, I ended up yesterday in a shoppingcentre called 'Harbourtown' which is close to Perth city and has only outletshops of all kinds of amazing brands. How excited were I to see that my new favorite shoe brand (since I moved here) had an outlet store as well: Nine West. Wow! it was seriously like heaven: the most amazing shoes for such a sweet price. Also ran into my dreambag in a store called 'Mimco', but I'll wait a couple of weeks to see if the price will go down more, hehe. The lady in Nine West told me that new stuff is coming in every week, so Harbourtown is definitely a spot that I'll bring a visit every once in a while.

Topshop dresses

I was browsing through the new collection of Topshop and ran into these amazing dresses. I would love to have all four, don't you just love the prints, colours and designs? Definitely considering getting at least one or two of them because they seem good quality and they have a sweet price. I made a deal with myself a while ago that I will not buy anything which I don't know how to make an outfit with and I can tell you it prevented me from doing a lot of bad buys. If you keep this thought in the back of your mind while doing shopping you will not buy stuff that you're never going to wear. And...because I know of each one of these beautiful dresses exactly how to wear them, I have a good excuse of buying them all four, hehe.
For example the floral dress, I would wear it with a white sleeveless jacket, which you see me wearing here and a pair of strappy black heels and maybe I would add a silver or gold cuff bracelet. The neon lace dress I would wear with a black jacket with gold zips which I ordered from H&M and is on its way to Australia right now and I will add a pair of black heels or boots and perhaps a nice statement necklace. The other dresses are so easy to combine because of their neutral colours that I don't bother myself with thinking of how to wear them.

Mermaid skirt

  Ph. H. Mounzer

The thing I love the most about this skirt is its interesting shape; the back looks a bit like the tail of a mermaid. I think items with nice details instantly upgrade an outfit, so that's one of the things I pay attention to when buying new clothes: the finishing touch and the details. I wore this outfit when I went to town with my boyfriend last sunday, we took the pictures in some streets close to our place so these pictures give you a little glimpse of my neighbourhood. Started today with a cappuccino from the cafĂ© a couple of meters from my house, absolutely love this location because everything you need is so nearby. Feeling very good last days, I'm so excited about my new life and new house. When last week I got some amazing news considering a feature in a Dutch magazine which I love very much, my mood really couldn't be any better. Right now I'm waiting for our washmachine to be delivered, which means I'm stuck in the house for the next 3 hours. Tonight we're planning to go to the cinema, not sure yet which movie we're going to see. Wish you a good day!

Lovin' bright yellow and print

  Ph. H. Mounzer

And I'm back with an outfit post... finally! Ever since I bought this maxi skirt in town a couple of weeks ago I knew I wanted to pair it with this neon yellow blouse from H&M which my mom send me from Holland because my order arrived after I left to Australia. So let me tell you about my weekend. As I told you we moved to our new place friday night and I absolutely love it. Totally unexpected internet turned out the be working and what makes a blogger like me happier than that? Things haven't really been put in perfect order yet, but that will be one of my activities of today. You'll not hear me complaining, because I love to organize my clothes and put everything else in place. Saturday we spend putting some order in the house, grocery shopping at the market and drinking coffees. At night I went out with some new made friends and we left the men at home to play poker. It was really fun to experience the night life in Perth and to spend some time with girls only. Yesterday we went to town and did some shopping for my boyfriend, he got a very beautiful watch and a couple of shirts and we ended the day in town with some nice sushi.

Moving to the new house...

Here I am sitting in an empty room writing my last post from this house. Having only packed boxes surrounding me is not the most pleasant feeling. Yesterday we already moved the big stuff and today we are left with all the other stuff that has to be moved, such as our clothes, blankets and other things. When leaving my country I have thrown away 75% of everything I owned, which is relieving and depressing at the same time. The good part is that right now I only have stuff that I really love the bad part is that having very little of my own stuff makes it harder to make yourself feel at home. Anyway, I'm very happy to be moving to the new house and excited about the coming weeks to buy all the little stuff that are going to make me feel home.
I'm off now, going to town with a friend!

Subtle Loves

A couple of my latest jewellery purchases. An eye bracelet, a lovely rose gold sharktooth necklace, a neon cross necklace and a silver cross necklace which you already see me wearing here. You all know how much I love a good statement necklace, but sometimes an outfit just doesn't need much jewellery and one of these tiny necklaces would be enough to give an outfit that little extra. What do you think?
